Lafayette Men’s Group · Secular peer support

You don’t have to carry it alone.

We’re a group of men who get together to talk straight, listen without judgment, and figure out how to show up better — for ourselves, our families, and each other. No faith required. No fixing. Just brothers.

New meeting dates coming soon!
For the holidays we’re moving to a once-a-month schedule. Check back here or on the calendar for the new dates.

Here’s the honest truth most of us learned the hard way: a man can hold it together for a long time. We’re good at it. Keep your head down, push it down, handle it yourself. That’s the playbook a lot of us were handed, and it works right up until it doesn’t. By then we’re carrying it alone in a truck cab or a garage at midnight, wondering why everything feels so heavy.

The Lafayette Men’s Group started because a few guys decided to stop doing that by themselves. We meet to do the opposite of the old playbook. We say what we’re actually feeling, hear how other men are working through the same things, and walk out a little lighter than we walked in.

No scripts. No fixing. No judgment. Just men being straight with each other.

We’re secular and community-based. In plain terms, that means we’re not a church, not a clinic, and not a company. We’re neighbors, coworkers, fathers, and sons who needed something like this and decided to build it. Every man is welcome here, wherever you’re starting from.

Come as you are. Leave a little lighter.

What it’s actually like

Come as you are

You don’t need a reason, a crisis, or the right words. You just need to show up. That’s the whole bar.

What’s said here, stays here

Confidentiality is the foundation everything else sits on. What’s shared in the room stays in the room.

Talk, or just listen

Some nights you’ll have a lot to say. Some nights you’ll only listen. Both count, and both belong.

Brotherhood beyond the room

Cookouts, Top Golf, a text on a rough week. The point is connection, not just a meeting on a calendar.

A word on what we’re not

The Lafayette Men’s Group is peer support, not professional care. We’re men helping men — not therapists, counselors, or a substitute for treatment. If you’re in crisis or need clinical help, please reach out to a licensed professional. If you’re thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 anytime — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. We’ll still be here when you’re ready.

Next time we get together

Nothing on the calendar this minute — text (337) 214-1313 and we'll make sure you hear about the next one.

The hardest part is the first text. After that, you just show up.

Call or text — we’ll tell you when and where, and answer anything you want to ask first.
